Let me tell you a little bit about myself. I am a 48 year-old, married, father of three boys, living in Reno, Nevada. My 32 year-old wife, Terry “Nicole” received her MS in Biology in May 2006 from the University of Nevada, Reno (UNR). She is the pretty deaf girl who always has her Golden Lab hearing dog, “Darwin,” with her. She now works as a hydrologist with the US Forest Service at Lake Tahoe. In February 2007 she competed on the USA 2007 Deaflympic Team in Salt Lake City. This Deaflympic event included 365 athletes from 25 countries. My wife was one of the five women representing the USA on the women’s alpine ski team. (http://2007.usdeafsports.org/)
Lets see, my three boys. Matthew is 21 years old, already a certified Flight instructor, and is attending UNR. Finally, Nicole and I have 2 boys, Alex, age 11 and Cody, age 8. Great kids, although I sometimes refer to them as the anti Christ and his little brother.
I
own and operate the Aerobatic Company and Flight School, Inc. based at Reno
Stead Airport.

As the name implies I teach aerobatics; unusual attitude recovery techniques
and test fly general aviation airplanes. I’m also involved in skiing,
mountaineering, Tae Kwon-Do and love to travel. I graduated from Fordham
College with a BA in Philosophy in 1981. Spend three years as an infantry
officer in the US Army, traveled extensively as an international
mountaineering guide for ten years received my MA in Ministry from Saint
Martins College in 1992 (yep, I’ve been warped by the Jesuits!), ran for US
House of Representatives, been imprisoned for civil disobedience, been shot
at, drank some beer, was present when the fat lady sang and have generally had
lots of fun with my life. Now I’m attempting to reflect and examine my life
experiences and create some meaning model of what it means to be a human
person, and of course, what it means to be me.
